Letter from our Recruitment Team
When I think of my recruitment experience with AOII, the often overused cliché “when you know, you know” is the first thing that comes to mind. Even on the first day, something was just different about them, and it made me want to keep coming back. My excitement each day to come to the AOII house grew because I knew I’d be having a genuine conversation with girls who were truly passionate about what they were saying and doing. Sure enough, this place of interest and excitement became my home.
Alpha Omicron Pi has given me over 200 sisters, over 200 study partners, over 200 gym buddies, over 200 shoulders to cry on. It has given me leadership opportunities even from the very first semester I was a member. It has given me goals to work towards, resources not only for AOII but for my academics, a network of over 150,000 women in various careers from all different walks of life all willing to lend a hand in the name of sisterhood.
Even more so than all of that, though, AOII has given me something to take pride in. The pride I have for the letters I wear, whether they be around my neck or wrist or across my chest, are mine and I get the privilege of knowing that I share them with incredible women, past and present.
I highly encourage you to participate in formal recruitment and hope that you find your home like I found mine. It truly is not four years, but forever.
Alpha Love and Mine,
Rachel Horn, Vice President of Membership Recruitment
