AOII encourages all members to excel academically and has many programs designed to assist women in achieving their academic goals. Expectations are high but the support provided by scholarship programs, academic development officer resources, and fellow members makes success attainable.

Letter from the President

Hey everybody! My name is Amy Atkinson and I’m a junior Nursing major at Georgia Southern University. I’m from Marietta, Ga but I have absolutely loved my three years at Georgia Southern. When I rushed in Fall 2018, I fell in love with AOII more each and every day. The girls had such a genuine smile on their faces and made me feel like I was talking to my childhood best friends. AOII has been my support system at college and has given me friendships that I know will last a lifetime. I will be forever grateful for the welcoming spirits behind our big red doors and the years of laughter we have shared together. I know that my college experience would never have been the same without AOII. Thank you Alpha Lambda for letting me be your last Standards Chair and for trusting me to take on Chapter President. I cannot wait to see what this new year holds for us! ASLF
